Norwex FAQ > Silver Agent
Norwex microfiber goes beyond "surface clean" with the innovative use of silver particles integrated into synthetic microfiber cloth to ensure:
- Single-celled micro-organisms such as bacteria, fungi, yeast, and viruses cannot survive or adapt in silver exposure.
- Surface-to-surface cross-contamination is eliminated.
- Rapidly drying cloths prevent bacteria growth in the cloth itself. It is also very important to note that the silver-based agent used in our cloths is based on micro, not nano, technology. The agent is physically embedded and chemically bound into the fibers of the cloth to prevent it from leaching out during repeated use or washing.
Laboratory tests have proven that when microbes come into contact with this natural antibacterial agent they die quickly, and there is a measured 99.9% reduction in microbes after 24 hours (although the agent is working well before then to destroy bacteria) leaving the cloth fresh and clean after washing.
Cleaning with water only produces a healthy outcome for us and the environment!
